Frisbee Flopping

It’s officially summer! The pools are open and the frisbees are flying.

As always, I try to carry my camera wherever I go. Because you never know when a fun opportunity will present itself. This past sunday was one of those days. It was Fathers Day and the weather couldn’t have been better. It was beautiful out as we headed up cape to the Glasheen compound. The perfect ‘sit by the pool and have a few recovery beers’ day.

I broke out my camera when I found out how hilarious it can be to capture grown men frozen in the air above a pool attempting to catch a frisbee. Just the look on some of their faces was priceless. So comes a fun blog post. Some are great on their own, some are fun when viewing in sequence. It kind of makes me want to get into some sports photography. For the full album, see link at the bottom.

First came Steve. I’m sorry Steve, but we were dying seeing some of the sequence shots of you. There was determination in his eyes going after that frisbee, but it always seemed to be just out of reach. I’ll blame it on the thrower…

Then came Mike (and other Mike) who had no problem launching off without a care for the pain being inflicted when hitting the water.

This is about the point I realized that maybe I don’t want to stand directly in the possibly splash zone. Almost ruined my camera with this one…

I think the overall most impressive was Ed, a.k.a The Flying Chad. His seemingly anti-gravity grace was matched by no other…

Apparently Izzy wanted in too…

I think I had as much fun shooting this stuff as they did doing it. ‘Cept I came out with a lot less bodily harm. For the full album, click here.

More to come…

It’s just too easy…

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted something. Photographically speaking, I haven’t been up to too much lately. At least nothing worth blogging about. But every once in a while, I’ll get the chance for some one on one time with the nephews. A couple benefits to hangin with the smallest ones… 1) They can’t run away. 2) They’re frickin adorable.

Sometimes I think this family hit the lottery of baby genes. It’s just too easy…

More to come.
